A Bit About Danny

Danny Canary is VP of Learning & Development at Portillo's, the Chicago-based fast casual restaurant chain with nearly 100 locations across the country. He leads the team building the company's hospitality culture, leadership pipeline, and frontline training.

Before Portillo's, he held leadership roles at Disney, Southwest Airlines, Ulta Beauty (the largest specialty beauty retailer in the U.S.), and United Airlines, with his time at Disney shaping how he thinks about culture and the guest experience.

He holds an Executive MBA from Northwestern Kellogg, where he serves as Class Ambassador. He lives in Evanston with his husband, Bryce, and their son, Milo.
